Vinfast is preparing to take a major step in the Indian EV market with the arrival of the Limo Green electric MPV, scheduled for launch in February 2026. After introducing the VF6 and VF7 SUVs, the company is now ready to enter the growing family-electric-MPV space, a segment that is beginning to see interest from brands like Kia and BYD.
A New 7-Seater EV for India
Vinfast has confirmed that its next India launch will be a 7-seater MPV designed for both private buyers and commercial mobility services. The Limo Green will sit at the heart of the brand’s long-term strategy for India, where it plans to introduce a new model every six months.
The MPV is expected to become a key product for Vinfast’s electric mobility ecosystem, especially with the company’s focus on expanding into fleet operations.
Linked to Vinfast’s Electric Taxi Network
The launch of the Limo Green is expected to align with the rollout of Green and Smart Mobility (GSM), Vinfast’s electric-only ride-hailing service. GSM, backed by Vingroup, already operates in four Southeast Asian markets and will make India its fifth.
Unlike existing players such as Uber or Ola, GSM follows a different model by owning its entire fleet of electric cars and two-wheelers. This gives Vinfast a built-in customer base, as GSM is expected to use only Vinfast vehicles. A large part of the Limo Green’s initial demand is likely to come from this fleet expansion.
Local production at Vinfast’s facility in Tamil Nadu will also support the company’s volume goals and ensure competitive pricing.
Dimensions, Design and Interior Layout
Test prototypes of the Limo Green have already been spotted on Indian roads, and the design has been officially patented. In Vietnam, the MPV measures 4,740mm in length, 1,872mm in width, and 1,728mm in height, with a 2,840mm wheelbase. This makes it slightly larger in key dimensions compared to the BYD eMax 7 currently on sale in India.
The exterior follows a clean and traditional MPV shape, highlighted by Vinfast’s V-signature styling elements. Inside, the cabin keeps things simple with a 2+3+2 seating layout, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, USB charging ports and single-zone air conditioning. The focus is clearly on practicality and durability rather than luxury features.
Battery, Range and Performance
In its home market, the Limo Green uses a 60.13kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed 450km range on the NEDC cycle. Power comes from a single electric motor on the front axle, producing 201hp and 280Nm.
Charging options include 11kW AC support and 80kW DC fast charging, with the latter capable of boosting the battery from 10 percent to 70 percent in about 30 minutes.
Safety equipment includes four airbags, ABS and an electronic parking brake. Advanced driver assistance systems are not part of the package, which suggests that Vinfast is focusing on a balanced cost-to-features approach for India.
Final Thoughts
The Vinfast Limo Green is set to become one of the most important EV launches of early 2026. Its combination of seven seats, practical range, clean design and compatibility with Vinfast’s upcoming GSM taxi network positions it uniquely in the market. With local production and a growing focus on electric mobility solutions, Vinfast appears ready to scale quickly in India—and the Limo Green could play a central role in that journey.
